Further information
It starts from Monte San Nicola, a viewpoint of the Monopoli countryside, and after a few kilometers it is already time to visit a small livestock farm and taste locally produced cheeses and dairy products.
Then you return to pedal and, between rapid ups and downs, after visiting a suggestive church we will literally dive into the plain of centuries-old olive trees to discover fortified farms and churches carved into the rock characterized by precious medieval frescoes.
The tour continues with a visit to a farm specializing in the production of tomatoes and cucumbers grown using natural pollination techniques and biological control against plant parasites.
Before leaving, guests will be served an aperitif based on bruschetta topped with cherry tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil.
The extra virgin olive oil will be the protagonist of the last stage of the tour. We will already be in Monopoli and here we will reveal the characteristics of the yellow gold of Puglia, the history, the cultivation techniques and the sensory analysis of the different crops.
