The Monopoli countryside is full of hidden treasures, still authentic and full of charm, which can be discovered in the company of expert local guides.
Starting from the historic center, riding a mountain bike, the tour in the plain of millenary olive trees will be a journey through time among fortified farms, ancient underground oil mills and frescoed rock churches. The bike tour includes several stops, including the one at the picturesque beach of Porto Ghiacciolo, one of the most fascinating stretches of coast dominated by the abbey of Santo Stefano.
We continue with a visit to a rock church with frescoes from the Middle Ages, an underground oil mill from the 13th century and a farm surrounded by over two thousand centuries-old olive trees.
The tour ends with the tasting of typical Apulian products and the sensory analysis of different types of Apulian extra virgin olive oil.
