Trekking of Federico's ring to Castel del Monte
The excursion (8 km) starts from the guarded parking lot, right at the foot of Castel del Monte. You will discover with us suggestive and little-known corners of the territory around Castel del Monte. This itinerary does not present significant technical difficulties, we only have two slight differences in height one downhill at the beginning and the other uphill at the end.We will walk in the same places where Frederick II loved to go hunting in the company of his hawks.We will admire two ancient farms, one of which has been completely renovated and other typical buildings with agro-pastoral architecture, strolling through a series of trulli immersed in the wild and stony Murgia.
